I had all of the scarves tied individually around my head, but in PS merged them together to look like one. Also desaturated skin (I was wearing white face makeup). Colors in the scarves were also desaturated a little.
Far from a flawless image, but I like it. Please don't point out to me that small patch of overexposed skin on the right. It is bothering me enough
Needless to say, you've definitely mastered your desaturation technique. It really shows in your work, and if I may say so, is the thing (besides your fantastic style with eyes) that helps me identify your work before even seeing that its yours. As for this picture, the scarves look excellently blended together..and something about how you seem to be rising out of the darkness really captivates me. The skin probably couldn't look much better than it is here, I cant find a qualm.
Again, great work..can't wait to see more.
maria, wow!
this is amazingly incredible. you did such a fantastic job with it... what a wonderful idea!
i just love every part of it... love how white your skin is against all the different colors of the scarf... along with the dark background.
it looks magical and mysterious
beautiful work

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
